1. Explore Your Options

“Transfer Tuesdays are our outreach effort to expedite the transfer admissions process,”  specifies Jeanne, who coordinates Transfer Tuesdays. Whether you are in your first semester considering a transfer to another school, or graduating with an associate degree planning to pursue your bachelor’s, Transfer Tuesdays will give you an idea of what your plan options could be.

2. Learn in Collaboration

If you already know how the academic process works, then a transfer info session about Rowan is the best option for you to make a decision. Attend one of the group sessions to learn more about the school through the presentation and get a general idea of how you can connect the program you are following at your current school with the one at Rowan.

Dr. Luci Nurkowski, an Associate Director of Admissions, helps transfer students navigate the admissions process.

“We talk about different programs and criteria for eligibility. The presentation is a good overview of the most important Rowan services,” comments Jeanne.  Plus you can ask any questions during a Q&A session and get a campus tour with fellow transfer students. “We do our best to make sure everyone leaves with answers to all their questions.”

3. Stop Running Around

“Some of our counselors have more knowledge in specific areas, like financial aid,” says Jeanne talking about the variety of questions incoming transfer students have. “Any depth of information we have available that we can share, as it refers to your question, we address. If you ask a very specific question that falls under another department’s area of expertise and we can’t give you a comprehensive answer, we will direct you to someone who can. But we don’t want you to run around looking for answers. Our goal is to provide you with all the necessary information during Transfer Tuesday sessions.”

4. Get an Instant Decision

Dying to know right on the spot if you’re going to be a Rowan Prof? The Admissions office holds periodic Instant Decision Days from March through June. Book a one-on-one appointment with an Admissions counselor here, bring all your transcripts and your $65 application fee will be waived. Crowds average 75 to 100 students on every Instant Decision Day, so book your appointment in advance to get the day and time that works best for you. If you are eligible, the Admissions counselor can offer you acceptance right on the spot. The event helps to eliminate a lot of stress for incoming transfers.

5. You Don’t Have to Agree Right on The Spot

Jeanne adds, “The event is mainly to give you an option to consider Rowan and decide if Rowan is for you. You don’t have to commit to Rowan on the spot.”
